Now more than ever, it's imperative that men have a place where they can help one another be the best they can be for God, their families, and communities! It's more than guy talk--it's a time of sharpening the tools (Proverbs 27:17)!
UPLIFT (Women's ministry)! Need a lift, Ladies? Whether you're young, single, mother of five, or past the "empty nest" years, you will receive a blessing every Tuesday morning with Pastor Kevin's wife as women get plugged into a fabulous time of Bible study, sharing, and encouragement! This special time of devotion and motivation will help you keep it all together (Psalm 61:2)!
KIDS COUNT (Children's ministry)! Because of the different comprehension levels between adults and children, we provide the opportunity for children to learn more about God through this ministry. Their time is structured like a regular church service but in a format that children can understand. With fun songs, powerful object lessons, and good Bible teaching, children K-4 can be challenged to grow in Jesus! KIDS COUNT takes place Sunday mornings during the 11 am worship hour!
LAMBS (Nursery ministry)! The nursery ministry of Desert Willow Baptist Church provides a loving and fun atmosphere for children while Mom and Dad enjoy growing through the teaching and preaching of God's Word! The nursery is safe, clean, and well cared for by trained caregivers who will love and watch each child!
G.R.O.W. (Go-Reach-Our-World)!
Voice to voice: This ministry involves making personal phone calls to express encouragement or to provide information about Desert Willow Baptist Church! This is a wonderful way to serve the Lord and it also keeps Pastor Kevin updated about the needs of individuals!
Hand to hand: This ministry provides a teriffic opportunity to write hand written letters to people who have been a guest at Desert Willow Baptist Church! Letters are also a great way to encourage anyone who may be ill, to comfort widows, to express congratulations or to just share the love of Jesus!
Face to face: Love your community through this exciting place of service as team members share the Gospel door to door, invite people to church, or encourage anyone who they may encounter along the way!
Heart to heart: The Bible says in James 5:16, "The effectual fervant prayer of a righteous man availeth much." With that in mind, dedicated men and women can pray for the needs and burdens of our people, community, and nation! Prayer moves the hand of God and God's hand can help us reach our world!
